Panchayats are an integral part of the Local Self Government Institutions (LSGI) in Kerala. Based on the 73rd Amendment of the Constitution of India, a three-tier Panchayat Raj system exists in Kerala for the administration of rural areas.Administrative StructureMembers: The governing body consists of Ward Members (directly elected from their respective wards), the President, and the Vice President.President: The President serves as the chairperson and the executive head of the Panchayat.Secretary: The Secretary is an official appointed by the State Government.
